I got sick of being squashed by the same people repeatedly when I tried to talk on the Gold Coast CB repeaters. I was furious. The word 'rampage' entered my head. I wanted a soapbox to air my grievances without being squashed, so I decided to create a website. Once I decided to create the website, all I needed was a name for it. There was a old DOS computer game I played a while ago that was politically incorrect, no-rules, laugh-a-minute fun. It seemed to be a lot like the CB, in an abstract way.

The name Radio Rampage was inspired by an old DOS game called

Redneck Rampage

The game is a first person shooter set in Louisiana, in the American deep south. The characters in the game are, of course, rednecks.

You may have heard some of the games' sounds played over the CB. Some of the games' sounds are used as background sounds for these web pages.

Two names, Redneck Radio, and Radio Rampage,

were thought of for the name of this website, before the latter was selected.
