The admin is required to maintain order on the forum in a fair and just manner, delete unwanted pictures from the gallery, and update the pecking order(s). This can take up a bit of your spare time initially, but if you are fair, and don't target people you don't like, things should be easily manageable. Problems usually only arise if the admin is unfair or biased. Initially, you will have to gather information on the CB repeater(s) in your area, and pictures of the site(s). Having pictures and info is what attracts and keeps users coming back to the site. Updating the pecking order(s) is best done by someone who is on the air a lot, knows everyone, and knows who gets over who. You may want to appoint a second admin to handle this part. I have a seperate admin for the pecking orders on the Gold Coast site, and it works great. Just let me know and I will set up a second admin login. If you think you have the time and patience and thick skin to be an admin, fill out the form. You can specify your username and password if you like, or I will make them up for you. |
