Radio Rampage - Open Gallery Rules.

Rules of the Radio Rampage Gallery.

The Radio Rampage website is about the UHF CB repeaters.

The Gallery, therefore, is about the UHF CB repeaters and what happens on them.
Pictures about anything else are 'off-topic'. Off-topic pictures may be deleted, depending on the context.
If your picture is deleted, it's probably off-topic and if you keep uploading it, you will be banned.

When leaving a new comment, punctuation and special characters are stripped out of your Callsign.
Callsign cannot be blank. Callsign is trimmed to 16 characters long.
Handle is trimmed to 20 characters.
Caption cannot be blank. HTML tags are stripped out of the comment.  Caption will be trimmed to 200 Characters.

The uploads are checked for filetype, anything that is not a standard JPG ( *.jpg or *.jpeg ) will be rejected.
Simply renaming any other type of file to *.jpg will not work. If your picture is in another format, it will have to be converted to JPG before upload.

Give the file sufficient time to upload, don't keep hitting submit, because the upload will start again, so it will just take longer. Once uploaded, your picture is resized to fit the gallery format.

I have noticed the server runs out of memory processing images larger than about 1500 x 1500 pixels sometimes. It may be related to server load. If you get a 'Zero Sized Reply' or other strange HTTP error message, or the page just goes to a blank page, resize your image and try again.

To prevent flood attacks, you cannot upload more than 2 pictures in a row, after which you will be locked out until someone else uploads.

All uploads are the responsibility of the person uploading the picture.

'In context' issues will be take into consideration.

If you upload a violent or pornographic picture, your picture will be deleted. If you do it repeatedly, you will be banned.

The Gallery scripts are constantly being updated and new features added, but I sometimes make stuff-ups. If any aspect of the Gallery is not working properly, send a message on the 'Complaints' page, or post a message on the Forum and I will fix it.

Join the mailing list to receive an email whenever someone makes a post to the Gallery.

The email is a plain text email with a link to the Gallery, and the callsign and handle of the uploader.

The admins cannot see or edit the mailing list.

If you are banned, send the admin a message on the 'Complaints' page and the admin will un-ban you.

The Gallery emails the admin whenever an upload is made, so if you post against the rules, your upload will be deleted fairly quickly.
It is not the admin's intention to control who uploads, or what they upload, so upload within the rules please.

Thank-You.
